Warts are lesions that appear as raised bumps on the outer surface of the skin due to an infection that enters the body through cuts or scrapes. They are highly contagious and can be transferred through physical contact or by touching an infected area and transferring them to a new, previously unaffected area. There are different types of warts that can develop on the body in varying locations and grow in different shapes, sizes, and colours. One relatively common condition is anal warts; otherwise known as Condyloma Acuminata. These lesions appear in the anal regions after the body is infected with HPV.
